Open Fridays & Sundays, until  October 26; 12:15-3:15 pm. Group tours by appointment. Fee-based event.

Blast-in-the-Past: A Hands-on History Playground
For the 5th year in a row, Montpelier will transform the mansion grounds into a kid-sized colonial village. Be a frontiersman or woman, a farmer, an apothecary, a milliner, and more. Stay for an hour or stay for the day! Thursday-Saturday, July 7- August 6, 11 am-4 pm. Fee-based event.


General Washington wants to recruit you for his spy ring! Visit Darnall's Chance Museum to receive your secret mission and learn how to use the same spying techniques the Continental Army used during the Revolutionary War. Hands-on activities. Program for children ages 6-12. Children MUST be able to read and write. Wednesdays & Thursdays, July 20-August 18. 30 min. program - drop in anytime between 11am-2 pm. Families with 7 or more children must make a reservation. FREE
