The presentation will discuss how Prince George’s County is taking a leadership role in the major environmental issues facing our state and region. Participants will learn about key DER initiatives in resource recovery, stormwater, energy, animal management, and other areas of sustainability.

Speaker / Instructor Biography

Adam Ortiz, Director, Prince George’s County Department of Environmental Services
Mr. Ortiz serves as director of Prince George's County's Department of Environmental Resources. Previously he launched and managed the "CountyStat" office for County Executive Rushern L. Baker III. He also served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown and as a three-term Mayor of Edmonston, Maryland.
