The Prince George's County Planning Department's close partnership with the citizens of the county allows the organization to:

• Enhance the physical environment.
• Performs technical analyses, offering recommendations through the specified work program and budget, adopted by the Prince George's County Council, and under the direction of the Prince George's County Planning Board.
• Receive and give assistance and advice on matters relating to the use of land.

Direction

The Department is under the direction of the Prince George's County Planning Director with program assistance from a Deputy Director and five Division Chiefs. The Planning Director reports to the Prince George's County Planning Board.
