Educational Programs

The Surratt House Museum offers on-site and outreach educational programs for all age groups, schools, colleges, camps, daycare facilities, Scout programs, and special interest groups. Our educational programs can be scaffolded for ages 5 and up utilizing Maryland State Standards and SLOs, and emphasize three main topics:
  1. The impact of the Civil War on the United States.
  2. The impact of President Abraham Lincoln’s Assassination on the United States.
  3. The impacts of the failure of Reconstruction and Reunification on the United States.
