As a reminder, face coverings are required for all indoor venues and crowded outdoor venues including concerts, festivals, and ticketed sporting events. Face coverings are no longer required outdoors in the parks.

Update as of July 7, 2021
The Department is excited to reopen its five of its senior activity centers: Camp Springs, Gwendolyn Britt, John E. Howard, and Laurel-Beltsville. Senior Operations at the Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex will also resume. Rentals for Laurel-Beltsville will resume August 1. Patrons must be over 60 years of age and have valid M-NCPPC PARKS DIRECT Senior Identification (ID). To obtain a card, bring proof of residency and age to any M-NCPPC community center or senior activity center in Prince George’s County during operating hours.

Update as of June 11, 2021
The Department invites patrons to drop in and enjoy the gymnasium and fitness rooms for free. Patrons who sign up for a one-year fitness membership between June 14-27 will be eligible to win a prize. Three winners will be chosen. Starting June 28, fees and memberships for fitness rooms will be reinstated.

Patrons will be required to sign a waiver when visiting Department’s fitness centers and gymnasiums.

Any changes will be communicated via our websites, social media and our PG Parks Alert system.
Share your time, skills and talents! Opportunities to volunteer with M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County are almost unlimited! Individuals and groups can help on a one-day project or on an ongoing basis.

Effective November 1, 2021, all individuals must be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus or receive an exemption from the Department of Parks and Recreation before volunteer service can begin.
