Join us on April 2, 2026, for Raptor Quest Day, an exciting program dedicated to owls, hawks, eagles, and other birds of prey, featuring hands‑on raptor‑themed activities and an up‑close keeper talk with some of our resident birds.

Give your little one a head start in understanding the importance of the environment through hands‑on activities, stories, songs, crafts, and nature exploration, with each class focusing on a different theme about animals, plants, and habitats.

Board a pontoon boat for a quiet, cruise on one of Prince George's County's beautiful rivers. Join a naturalist onboard the park pontoon boat to explore all things birds, while cruising down the Anacostia River.

The HBCU Yard Crawl is designed for you AGES 14-18 and offers an exciting opportunity to explore the legacy, culture, and traditions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Enjoy a guided bicycle tour along the Anacostia River Trail, where you’ll ride at a light to moderate pace, stop at various points to learn about the river, and take advantage of free bike and helmet use, or bring your own, for this low‑impact outdoor adventure.

Come face-to-face with a powerful bird of prey! Learn all about what makes raptors so incredible, then enjoy a thrilling training session and watch a bird take flight in an exciting live demonstration.

Explore the College Park Airport up close! Enjoy a tour of the airport’s tarmac while learning about the many “firsts” that happened on the airfield and how the airport is used today. This tour lasts about one-hour, takes place outdoors, and requires visitors to traverse paved asphalt, grass, and slightly uneven gravel.
