Share stories, spark creativity, and discover life on the farm! Each Farm Story & Craft program features a themed story, hands-on craft, and interactive farm activity designed for children ages two to seven. Young learners will explore nature, animals, and seasonal farm topics while building creativity, curiosity, and early learning skills through play.
Programs take place at Old Maryland Farm at Watkins Regional Park. Each session features a different theme, so families can return again and again for new experiences.
Fall 2026 Farm Story & Craft Programs:
– September 8 • Magnificent Monarchs: Discover the incredible journey of monarch butterflies and the important role they play in our native gardens.
– October 15 • Create Your Own Animal Book: Learn about farm animals and create your own colorful storybook filled with animal facts and imagination.
– October 20 • Pumpkins: Celebrate fall through the wonderful world of pumpkins.
– November 17 • Terrific Turkeys: Meet one of the farm’s most fascinating birds and learn what makes turkeys truly terrific.
