Learning Garden: Sensory Tour
Take a sensory tour through our Kitchen Garden and learn how herbs were used in the 18th century. Students will explore common herbs found in colonial Maryland and discover their use to flavor food, as well as producing medicines thought to cure ailments from headaches to smallpox. Students will have an opportunity to smell and taste garden herbs and create a potpourri sachet to take home.
